A good turnout from members of the Penryn Camera Club this week for a talk by award winning Bill Hall titled “Wildlife photography UK”. Showing us stunning images Bill talked knowledgeably on all the birds and animals shown. He provided tips and tricks on how to capture such images. For example images of the hides, equipment and perches Bill used to attract the wildlife into view. I guess many of us will be off to buy basic cheap peanut butter to smear behind our birdtables!

It was great to see a couple of new faces as potential new members were enjoying our try-before-you-join sessions. We are settling into our new location at the Penryn Athletic Football club and each week we are improving. For example Geoff wrangled the water boiler into life and the mid-break tea/coffee/biscuits were back on-line. Thanks Geoff.

Next week is a Members Critique; Each member brings 1-4 images, perhaps destined for future competitions, for general review and comment. It can be daunting to both give and receive critique but it is helpful in highlighting something the photographer may have missed.
