The Penryn Camera Club kicked off our winter season at the Penryn Athletics club. We now meet Thursday evenings at 19:30 until May. It was wonderful to see old friends after the summer break, and we welcomed several new members.

We had a load of laughs on the Penryn fair day from trying to assemble the stands to welcoming over 175 visitors to our exhibition. Claire Dougal won bragging rights with the most popular image of the day “Autumn Falls”.

After some admin, we launched into critiquing a fun competition held recently. Our judge Wendy, one of our more forthright members, wasn't afraid to say what she liked and didn't like about each photograph. Not everybody agreed and some discussion (and banter, of course) ensued as the evening progressed. Photography is an art form and there are many ways to view the same image.

Geoff hasn’t lost the art of making a decent cuppa and the evening ended with chit-chat and a catch-up using our recycled cups and scoffing biscuits. Yum!

You are welcome to join us if you wish. You can contact us by email at penryncc@gmail.com until we fix our hijacked website. Yes, the investigation is STILL ongoing. Meanwhile, our Facebook page is active; Facebook.com/PenrynCC
