Several Penryn Camera Club photographers travelled up to Wheal Martyn on Tuesday. It was a sunny day and Tim guided us knowledgeably through the works. This includes working waterwheels, tools and machinery, vintage lorries and an extensive archive. We found lots to see and photograph including spectacular views of a modern working clay pit. The lunchtime meal there was delicious.
On Thursday a large turnout of members enjoyed a “members evening”. Claire Dougal deconstructed the last few years of her life. She talked about three weeks volunteering in India, lockdown walks and various Cornish views. The relaxed talk included many high-quality images and the group enjoyed the evening.
Mandy chased luck-dip competition stragglers for their subjects. She treated the club to a doughnut mound to celebrate her birthday.
Next week we have a guest speaker, Mark Walker. He will be providing a live Portraiture photography demonstration. Doubtless, there will be hints and tips for all.
