PCC News – Karen Burton:

Last Thursday night we all brought in our “Christmas Scavenger Hunt” offerings to be shown on the screen for us to vote with marks out of 5 with 5 being the highest and 1 the lowest. Big thanks are due to Mark Gilbert for stepping into Paul's seat in front of the laptop.

The images ranged from cute, to spooky, creative and fun!It is always great to think outside the box and as usual we had an array of different images presented to us to critique in a fun way. It was intended to be a fun evening, with a light hearted take on Christmastime. Many members had fun creating images which used Photoshop in various ways to enhance the photo.

The winner was John Yarrow with 58 points for his atmospheric ‘smokey’ angel which he had cleverly set up in his garage. This was followed very closely by John Yarrow for his circular image of a skier in the snow. It has to be said that John has managed to start a craze off within the club, to manipulate the photo into a circle using a few simple steps in Photoshop (Details on our website of course!) It was certainly a great night for John as he won both 1st and 2nd places with 57.5 points. In close third place with 56 points was Mark Qulter with a photo split into 9 small images. It was a very creative composite of various decorations from the same tree.

Thank you to everyone who took part and we loved the cute pink fairy and the cute knitted penguins and Santa. The Christmas Presence Bear was creepy but well thought up Carina! It’s great to have unique ideas and I hope you had fun and we can try another one later in the year.

Next week our close friend Kevin Leah will be inspiring us with his wizardry! Wishing all our poorly members a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing you next week!Karen
