PCC News: Paul Cooper - 27th September Meeting
At last Thursday’s meeting, the club buzzed with excitement as members took part in a fun-filled Photographic Scavenger Hunt! With a quirky list of categories—like "Look Up" and "Something Fun"—photographers showcased their creativity. Each image was projected on the big screen, and members enthusiastically scored them from one to five. During the break, Mark and Karen tallied up the results, awarding prizes to the top three entries.
We also reviewed the results of our summer competitions, which had been judged by four volunteer members. The relaxed, non-competitive atmosphere was a hit, with everyone enjoying the standout entries and the chocolate and wine that flowed to the winners. The overall winner? A stunning fantasy cream tea creation by Mark Quilter.
To wrap up the night, Mark took us behind the scenes of his masterpiece, walking us through the intricate layers in Photoshop. He shared expert tips on photographing, masking, and building the final image.
NB Pre-cut mounts are now available A4 with no backing board for £2 and A3 mounts WITH backing boards for £4. See Derek.

So what I would like please, are perhaps 6 maybe 2/3 more images straight out of the camera (any subject), or perhaps an image that you think is ready as a competition entry, but feel it needs further work to take it to the next level, but don’t know how to achieve it. Another idea is, you have already entered an image and the judge has picked up on something in his/her critique that needs further attention.
Images would be best from members that have medium/limitedknowledge of photoshop editing software. I will then select 5/6 depending on the evening timings to work on 'live' at the club!
