Derek Godridge LRPS AFIAP
Professional Photographer, enjoys street photography
Hello! I have been a photographer since I was about 9, when my Mum handed me a Brownie and told me to point it at her and my Dad in front of their first car - a Morris Minor. Somewhat spookily, some 50 years later I found that old negative, printed it as an 8in x 10in print and handed it to my dumbfounded mum !
I went through the “full analogue” experience with various cameras and darkroom but now use Nikon and Fuji digital cameras both for my personal and professional use. I am a freelance professional photographer and run a small company DeeGee PHOTO which specialises in Property, Portraiture and also work for artists reproducing their work etc.
As a PCC member for over 25 years, I still have a passion to assist others in this excellent club whilst improving my own photography and, along with many successes in National and International salons, hold the AFIAP distinction. I am also a Licentiate member of the Royal Photographic Society and continue to work to improve my photography in most of the photographic genres.
For me photography is not just a passion – it’s far more important than that!
