I’ve been passionate about photography for over 75 years. My journey began with a second-hand Agfa Record III, a 6x9, 8-exposure folding roll-film camera. Since those early analogue days, I’ve loved exploring all aspects of the craft through various camera systems. In 1999, I took the leap into the digital age, at great cost at the time, with an Olympus C900Z digital camera, which opened up a whole new world of photography.
Embracing digital photography also meant diving headfirst into Photoshop and Lightroom Classic. Despite the initial trials and tribulations of mastering the software, I now thoroughly enjoy the creative and technical freedom of digital editing and crafting composite images.
Over the years, I have pursued photographic distinctions to challenge and refine my work. Having earned the Distinction (DPAGB) from the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain, I am proud to have recently achieved the British Photographic Exhibitions Five Crown Award (BPE 5)*.
My current setup includes my trusty Nikon Z6 II alongside my mobile phone, which is always with me so I never miss a shot. My primary interests span architecture, portrait, wildlife, street, and macro photography. Above all, I love capturing the true essence of a moment and the rich diversity of human interaction.
Having been an active member of various camera clubs over the years, I place great value on the friendly exchange of knowledge and community spirit that comes with being part of the photographic network.
