I have been interested in photography for as long as I can remember and made my first enlarger when I was eleven. As film gradually gave way to digital my interest waned. However, when digital SLRs became aIordable and editing software became available my enthusiasm was renewed.

Landscapes and wildlife have always appealed to me but for the past few years my ‘happy place’ with a camera has been underwater. It is a privilege to live in Cornwall with its exciting coastline. We have an abundance of wrecks and reefs, all of which are home to a variety of life forms. Sea slugs, anemones, sponges, molluscs, octopus, cuttlefish and fish all make excellent subjects. Unfortunately local weather conditions are challenging at times but the occasional good result makes it all worthwhile.
Other genres I would like to learn more about include sport, macro and food photography.
I feel very fortunate to be a member of such a friendly and inclusive camera club.
