Friday 11th March 2022

What a fantastic evening we had last night at Penryn Camera Club. Colin Higgs delivered an abundantly illustrated talk about his work throughout the course of his 50-year career as a journalist photographer. He gave fascinating and amusing anecdotes about his photographs. This made everyone laugh and created a comfortable mood. Colin remembered various ancient film types, cameras and issues which struck a chord with some club members. He possessed photos of local sporting events as well as several Helston Flora Days. Many members remembered attending most of these. Colin fielded a slew of questions from the audience, that he answered to everyone's satisfaction.


Next Thursday Mark Walker has the unenviable task of judging our annual Ken Farnell #3 competition. With over 80 entries and everyone vying for a place, Mark has his work cut out. We know he'll be up to the task based on previous competitions. We are confident he'll provide constructive feedback as he works towards selecting the winners.
