PCC News –

  • Thursday 27th October with Shannon Moran was a very interesting evening during which we were enthralled to hear about and see the amazing creatures which lie just off-shore in Falmouth Bay. Shannon told us about the colourful Blennies, amazing Anemones and Spider Crabs which she found whilst diving off Pendennis Head, Gyllngvase and Castle beaches.

  • After giving us her education and background Shannon told us about the trips she has made to the Red Sea in Egypt and the work she has been doing to record various species which exhibit fluorescence both locally and abroad. We had a chance to hear about how she uses macro lenses and special filters and we then had the opportunity to handle some of the very specialized (and expensive) underwater equipment. Finally, we heard about her membership of the British Society of Underwater Photographers and the recent awards in the Underwater Photographer of the Year. A big thank you was given to Sharron by the members for a super presentation.
