PCC News – From Paul Cooper:
Every year the Cornwall Photographic Alliance runs a competition for all photographic clubs in Cornwall to enter. We precede this with our own formal competition with the same set subject to help members select and grade images suitable for entering the CPA.
This year the set subject, Decisive Moment, was causing some members to scratch their heads so Derek put together an informative presentation on the topic. He used images from famous photographers together with several of his own images to highlight the requirement. Derek dissected each image and explained what worked and what didn’t and showed, in a wide variety of photographs, a decisive moment. As always, the talk was informal and interactive and we all learned from each other.

Western Counties Photographic Federation (WCPF)
• Saturday 11th March 2023 – Knightshayes Trophy Subject is “Decisive Moment” • 2023 WCPF Member’s Exhibition and Competition o Entry will be open from Monday 7th January 2023 and will close on Saturday 11th March 2023. o Display of Prints and Digital show at Bovey Tracy Golf Centre from 7th to 15th May 2023 o There are 3 classes in both the Print and Digital sections and the subjects are the same “Open Colour, Open Monochrome, Nature” o Entry Classes The entry classes have changed this year with 3 print classes (Open Colour, Open Mono, Nature) and 3 digital classes (Open Colour, Open Mono, Nature).
