It was so good to see so many members attending on Thursday for “Mandy’s Quiz”. Mandy organised a really interesting and fun grilling and members really joined in enthusiastically trying to get their grey matter into gear and answering the various general knowledge questions ranging from :
Cornish History - "What did Henry Trengrouse invent"
Geography - "What is the capital of Azerbaijan"
Music - " Who recorded 'No woman, no cry”
Answers at the end !
It was a really tight run to the finish - including some pretty obscure anagrams of Cornish places - the eventual winner was Alison Williams with a pretty amazing score of 43 out of 45! All three placed contestants had a lucky dip with various chocolate delicacies being picked from the hat. Thanks so much to Mandy for all her efforts!

Our Upcoming AGM
For the healthy continuation of Penryn Camera Club, it’s VITAL that we have members who are willing to serve on the Committee, and although we have several who have put their name forward, we are always looking for more enthusiastic volunteers. At the moment it looks like we could be short of the very important role of TREASURER and so if you are thinking of joining the committee for this or any other role, please get in touch ASAP.

John Yarrow has shown us how easy it can be to use this competition management system which will make things a lot easier for our Competition Secretary whilst also helping members to upload their work at a time to suit them and also to title and size their images more easily. Again, if you missed entering using the Trial, PLEASE try uploading an image during the remaining ONE-WEEK free trial to see if you find it easy, and be ready to give some feedback on your experience.

PCC Social News – Karen Burton
Friday May 24th is going to be an event held at Falmouth Court, Draceana Avenue, Falmouth. 6.30pm till 8.00pm. o I would like some volunteers to bring some images along to show or put some digitals on a memory stick to show our lovely residents. Please advise if interested in helping make a lovely evening to show our talents and make a connection to the community.
Sunday 23rd June - PCC PRESENTATION LUNCH at 12.45 for a 1pm start o FALMOUTH GOLF CLUB again after much deliberation. o Don't forget cancellations any less than a week you will NOT get a refund unfortunately. o There will be a lovely raffle so some donations would be very welcome!
